MAY HALF TERM - Asian Dance
Wednesday 27th May, 1.00pm-3.00pm @ The Play Station, (next to North Lakes School)
Led by professional dance company Akademi South Asian Dance UK you will learn dance that is informed by the traditions and rich heritage of South Asia.  Be prepared to encounter classical, folk, and contemporary styles along with martial arts and yoga!  Come and surprise yourself.  £2.00.  To book, contact Alison Horn on 07799 860370.

DANCE CUMBRIA SUMMER RESIDENTIAL 2009
Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July @ University of Cumbria (Brampton Road Campus)
Dance Cumbria Summer Residential aims to find and nurture talented and motivated young people who are passionate about dance, to increase both their dance and leadership skills.

Dance Cumbria Summer Residential is the local gateway to Youth Dance England’s Stride (Young Dance Entrepreneur Programme) and the North West’s new Centre for Advanced Training.

This week-long residential will provide a valuable insight into life as a dance professional.  You will learn dance technique, choreographic and performance skills, and make many new friends along the way.  The week will be led by a dedicated team of visiting and local dance practitioners and youth workers.
